Meet The Team
David Keys
Managing Director
BCom. Operations Management
Dave is one of Australia’s foremost experts in data analytics including the use of Tableau, Lavastorm, Alteryx, Cognos, Business Objects and many other tools.
An experienced data architect, technical lead and project manager, Dave is passionate about solutions that use previously untapped information assets to drive business improvement.
Dave’s early career included industrial engineering, production management, and operations management. It was in these roles that Dave realised the transformative power of data. Dave is also host for the Brisbane Tableau User Group.
Adam Roberti
DIRECTOR
Adam is a passionate individual who gets his thrill when given the opportunity to help people achieve their goals.
He has had experience from a wide background of businesses and uses this experience to understand the clients perspective and goals. Adam is able to approach challenges from a strategic point of view, ensuring that the main business goals are achieved.
Sam Batchelor
SENIOR CONSULTANT
Bachelor of Engineering (Engineering Science)
Sam brings a passion for best practice data analytics and visualisation to Key Data. She enjoys taking people on a journey to gain trust in their data, move the work from processing to analysis, and ensure that the stories hidden within the data get told.
Sam delivers Tableau Desktop I (Fundamentals) and II (Intermediate) courses across Australia, including the publicly available courses run by Tableau in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Along with Dave, she is one of a handful of trainers that are accredited by Tableau to deliver their training.
She migrated to Brisbane early 2017 from Auckland, NZ where she worked at global dairy giant Fonterra. During this time, Sam gained valuable experience with Tableau workbook development and Tableau Server administration. She helped to enable a community of users and consumers to utilise the data and tools available to make actionable business decisions.
Sam was also part of a BI project within the London 2012 Olympic Games, working with data to ensure that the social and economic benefits of the games were realised.
Miguel Castro
CONSULTANT
Bachelor of Engineering (Systems Engineer)
Miguel comes from Colombia, where he was involved in the Software Engineering and Banking industries. He enjoys bringing new analysis and solutions to support business strategy and enabling better results in day to day operations.
Miguel enjoys getting his hands dirty, to really understand what the data means and how it can be translated into insights, reports and actionable improvements. This dynamic process provides new questions to answer and new business rules to define. Everything works towards ensuring the decision-making process is easier and wiser. He enjoys seeing how the business evolves, along with his skills.
Nevar Fourie
Nevar loves data and data loves Nevar. Moving from South Africa and joining the KeyData team in 2018 Nevar’s expertise in Linux, Python and extensive experience as a full stack software developer, add to the company’s strength in developing and maintaining solutions for clients.
Nevar’s eye for pinpointing data problems has enabled him to repeatedly optimise client systems leading to significant performance improvements across a range of clientele. With his strong analytical skills and passion for data, no problem is too hard to solve, given enough time. He also loves his Birman cat, Finn and believes that we are all ultimately in service of the feline elite.
Prerana Sudheendra
As an expert in OSB and TIBCO, Prerana brings to the KeyData team an extensive knowledge of integration projects gained from a variety of roles within the Indian IT industry. With a strong passion for the vastness and agility of data, Prerana focuses on data modelling and building complex dashboards for clients.
Prerana’s warm personality gives her a natural affinity for providing a high level of client support. Having moved from India in early 2018, Prerana’s love of resolving complex problems and her focus on client satisfaction has helped her to rapidly translate our client needs into realised outcomes.
Kyle Holmes
Doctor of Business Administration, Master of International Business, Bachelor of Music (Performance)
Kyle joined the KeyData team midway through 2018. He brings with him a wealth of experience in Management and Administration and thrives on solving complex problems with the best possible solutions. Kyle’s passion for data comes from a desire to understand the story behind how data were created and importantly what can be learned from this story.
Kyle is a people person and loves building networks. He also has a passion for research and discovering new insights which he brings back into his work. His main motivation is his family and he firmly believes that the best medicine for most problems is exercise.
Sharna Bourke
Sharna calls herself an accidental analyst… a love of problem solving and a natural instinct to break down complexities has her to a career in data analytics. With roots in Environment Science, Sharna started her career as a GIS and Spatial Analytics professional before quickly discovering a passion and talent for helping organisations make sense of their data.
Sharna is an advocate for unlocking insights in data through analytic techniques and methods. She loves working with organisations at all different stages of their data journey to see what they can discover.
Scott Zhu
Scott is a business intelligence (BI) consultant with over 10 years of experience in SAP BW/BI end to end implementation and support. He has expert skills and abilities to design and develop BI solution (including data model, ETL process, reporting and dashboard) in a complex multi-tiered environment for a large organization. Scott loves data analysis, visual analytics, dashboard development, and helping organizations use BI solutions to make meaningful decisions and improvements based upon their data. His main project clients include: Transurban Queensland (formerly Queensland Motorways), Nestle Australia (GC AOA), State Grid Corporation of China, China Telecom, and Advanced Micro Devices. Personally, Scott is passionate about Ping Pong and travel. He likes Thai and Italian food besides delicious Chinese cuisine.
Lachlan Stevens
Rishab Nambiar
Rishab can best be described as a “jack of all trades but master of none”. He has a strong passion to study and understand businesses and believes in nurturing long term relationships with people. He is currently pursuing his Master of Business (Applied Finance) and also holds a Bachelor of Technology (Electronics and Telecommunications). He has previously held diverse roles in a wide spectrum of businesses like manufacturing, aviation and financial services.
Dr. Devon Biggerstaff
Devon is a recipient of a PhD in Physics from the University of Queensland. He is an experienced data professional with more than 10+ years in collection, organization, analysis and visualization of scientific and business data.
Andy Holt
Originally from the north of England, Andy is a motivated analyst with an aptitude for problem solving and a passion for generating insight through intelligent data presentation. He lived in New Zealand for 11 years which was where he was first exposed to Tableau and data visualisation as a career choice. It was the perfect fit given he’d been collating data in life and fashioning charts for as long as he can remember.
After a decade of putting his extensive skills to good use in various roles within the agricultural sector back in New Zealand, he moved to Queensland in mid-2018 and joined KeyData shortly afterwards. Since then he’s enjoyed applying his talents to other business sectors and is enthusiastic about unlocking knowledge for clients that has previously been hidden away within their own data.
Eliana Pena
Eli is an Accountant, with a special enthusiasm for Information Technologies. She has an analytical bent of mind with a keen eye for detail. Due to her valuable experience in processing and analysing financial reports, she is here to help KeyData improve and manage its financial processes.
